Does co-registration works?

While it may not be the best overall option, co-registration can be a quick and easy way to build your list. Co-registration has generated a lot of buzz lately, but it has been around almost as long as there have been online newsletters. While the term may seem complicated, it is really quite simple. Co-registration is when you have visited, or signed up at, another site and are presented with a list of other offers.

You have to be careful in choosing a co-registration provider, as some are only concerned about getting payment and don’t care if you get spam complaints or not.

One of the biggest advantages of co-registration is that you have the chance to build your list based on someone else’s established credibility. There are mixed results among list builders using this method, but there are a few things you can do to help.

The first thing to do is make sure that whatever co-registration you choose allows you to select the categories you want to be listed in. People went to the original page for a reason, and if you offer information on a similar subject they will be more willing to choose your offer. For two reasons. 1) They were looking for information in the first place, and 2) they are already in the right frame of mind to learn more.

The next thing to do is make sure you have a short and persuasive description of the benefits of joining your list. You will be limited to the number of words in your co-registration ad, so make sure every one of those words has an impact.

There is a cost involved with co-registration services, but if you have some room in your budget, and you follow these tips, you will have another tool you can use to build a bigger list.
